Stage Precision

VLC

To control VLC from Stage Precision it´s necessary to define some settings first.

Prepare VLC for remote control

1. Open the preferences

2. Change the “show settings”


in the lower right corner select “All”

3. Activate Web


navigate to “Interface” -> “Main interfaces” and select “Web”

4. Define a password


navigate to “Interface” -> “Main interfaces” -> “Lua” and define a password

5. Restart VLC




Setup the connection within SP

Within the IO-Connection add a VLC IO.


Define the URL of your VLC player
http://192.198.1.XXX
Define the password like above

Trigger Maps

Trigger maps can be “called” among other things within interface objects like Buttons, Dropdowns, Timline Trigger Layer, Areas, Nodes, and many more…

Choose within the dropdown different actions:

 Clip Id needs to be choosen

 Volume can be defined

 Position can be defined in percentage

  • Add to Playlist
 choose a file or define the local file path
  • Add to Playlist and Play
 choose a file or define the local file path
  • Delete Clip from Playlist
 Clip Id needs to be choosen
  • Clear Playlist

VLC status node

By drag and drop the VLC IO-Connection into a Board a status node will be created.
