!Check first the encoder values and the tracking state in the lower left corner.

Capture
Open the Capture section.
A detected screen/paddern will be get a color overlay with the unique IDs.
![]()
*Using multiple screens, each will get a different color overlay to identify these.
![]()
*At large angles it can happen that not all paddern will be detected correctly.
In this case it´s possible to change this Filter Angle within the Settings.
Goto Settings -> Calibration Engine -> Filter Angle.
Please be carefully with this parameter.
This filter is defined to avoid pixel interpolation and missmatched detections.
Start capture frames
Start now to bring your camera on different locations with different rotations and pointing the camera to the screen.
Whenever you have reached a good position, capture a frame.
*There is also a mode for auto capture
!If the camera is mounted on a jib or is a cable cam system, please wait until the camera dosn´t move anymore before capture a frame.
If the camera is still moving the captured image will not match the tracking data and will destroy the calibration process.
In the upper left corner is a movement indicator to help monitoring if a system is still moving a tiny bit.
*The screen dosn´t needs to be complete in the view of the camera.
!Don´t touch the zom and focus during a observation.
*Try to capture from each corner and in between your movement area.
Try also to give the calibrator as much rotation as possible.
*Using the Distortion Viewer with the overlay of the Media Input to see how the calibration is doing progress.
Find not well locations/rotations to capure here more frames.
Finish a observation
A observation can always be completed.
There is no save button or apply button needed.
The calibration will worked in “real-time”.
Check all images for any mistakes
*Selecting a single observation will also shown error factor. (smaller is better)

The whole pannel should “have seen” a screen
!Make sure you haven’t forgotten a corner
![]()
Change focus and/or zoom and repeat the steps until your full lens is calibrated
![]()
!It can be necessary to change the size of the paddern during the calibration process.
