The Shield actor is a CineCamera based actor.

This actor takes care about the different render passes, includes lens distortion, processed shadow / reflection catcher and can be driven over Live Link.

Add a Shield actor

Within the “Place Actor” windows, select the category Shield and drag the Shield Actor in the level.

Camera – Lens Distortion

Center Shift lens shift value
Overscan overscan factor to avoid missed rendered gaps caused by the distortion

Camera – Camera Settings

Sensor Width the width of the camera sensor in mm
Sensor Height the height of the camera sensor in mm
Smooth Focus Change enable this to use interpolation to smooth out changes in focus distance.
When disabled, the focus changes will be instantaneous.
Draw Focus Plane enable to draw a translucent plane at the current focus depth.
This enables a visual way to track where the focus is for the shot.
Diaphragm Blade Count the number of blades that make up the diaphragm mechanism.
